Kalkan Guide

KALKAN

Kalkan has two different sides: on the one hand, it has nice restaurants and beautiful hotels to match its excellent, steep views of the Mediterranean Sea. But it's also a bit overpriced, and frequently complain that the recent blast of foreign-owned vacation villas, which often rented out online, has changed the town's quality for the worse. With only a small, rocky beach, a few close blocks of whitewashed rock houses, and not much digging of its own, Kalkan is trying hard to improve its tourism offerings. Despite its growing overexposure, it's still a proper base for touring the area and the surrounding sites.
