Eski Datça and Reshadiye
Turkish ironic poet and polemical left-wing social critic Can Yücel retired to a simple old stone house in Eski Datça, setting an elegant tone for this lovely backwater spot and nearby Reshadiye. The earlier Greek-populated village is one of the few in Turkey that has survived intact. Excellent restoration efforts have produced several beautiful small houses, which vacationers can rent. Nobody hurries through the stone-paved alleys.
