TARSUS
The dusty, rural town of Tarsus is known as the area where St. Paul was born some 2,000 years ago. It has a broad variety of Roman, Byzantine, and Turkish relics and effort are now being put into preparation. No particular site is outstanding, but taken collectively, they make Tarsus the most impressive stop between Kız Kalesi and Adana.
