When to go Turkey

Most travelers visit Turkey between April and the end of October, but July and August are the busiest—and hottest—months. April into June and September to October offer more warm weather, and groups are smaller; hotel rates are usually lower, too.
Istanbul serves to be hot and humid in summer, cold and rainy in winter. The Mediterranean (Turquoise) and Aegean shores have warm winters and hot summers; you can swim along either coast from late April into October. The Black Sea coast is warm and damp, with a rainfall of 90 inches per year. Central and Eastern Anatolia can be freezing in winter, with ways and mount passes closed by snow; summers make hot, dry weather, but cool evenings.
