SINOP
At the northernmost tip of Turkey's Black Sea shoreline, Sinop has welcomed traders to its original harbor since the period of Hittites, and traces of its long history are visible everywhere, most dramatically in the city walls and citadel. Today, it calmly goes about its business, fishing the waters, crafting embroidered cloth, and enjoying the increasing income from tourism.
