Kahta Guide

KAHTA

The quiet and dusty little town of Kâhta is nobody’s favorite place in Turkey and is nothing more than a good base for exploring Mt Nemrut. There are a few good hotels and places to eat, but nothing to see.

The construction of the massive Atatürk Dam and the resulting rising waters have meant that Kâhta is now a lakeside town, and some restaurants have taken advantage of this, opening up near the water, which makes a pleasant setting for a meal.
