IHLARA VALLEY
A green river canyon marked with rock churches carved into the cliffs above; the Ihlara Valley allows a refreshing change of scenery from the arid area typically seen outside in the region and the possibility to see more of Cappadocia's gorgeous beautiful heritage. The valley, which can be explored with or without a guide, makes an easy day trip from the Avanos-Nevsehir-Ürgüp triangle.
